According to Majinate, the Accredited Symbian Developer scheme is designed to set and objectively measure the standard of engineering competency required for developers and engineers to differentiate themselves from novice Symbian OS developers.

The ASD accreditation exam is at present being delivered online over the web. You may register to take the exam under your own supervision here. The multiple choice based exam takes approximately 75 minutes to complete. Topics covered include the following:

Coverage is extensive - so extensive that I wouldn't recommend taking the test until you are fully drilled on these various C++ topics. You know what, I personally think the official ASD Primer Guide is excellent - it covers almost all the essential information that you need to know to tackle most topics. We do believe that you need to get yourself truly familiar with all these information by going through sufficient revision.

The official ASD Primer is a very good technical book. It would be an even better prep tool if it comes with an extensive set of practice questions.
